LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Two navy helicopters crashed Wednesday evening in southwestern Kentucky throughout a routine coaching mission, the U.S. Military’s Fort Campbell mentioned in an announcement.
The standing of the crew members was unknown, it added.
The 2 HH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, a part of the one hundred and first Airborne Division, crashed round 10 p.m. Wednesday in Trigg County, Kentucky, based on the assertion, which was posted on Fb.
“The command is at present targeted on caring for the servicemembers and their households,” the assertion mentioned.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear wrote on Twitter that “fatalities are anticipated,” including that police and emergency officers have been responding.
