Amanda Knox is an author, podcast host, and motivational speaker best known for her harrowing experience as a college student.
While studying abroad in Italy in 2007, Amanda’s roommate, Meredith Kercher, was brutally murdered. Amanda and her then-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were named as suspects, and she was thrown in prison. Amanda fought tooth and nail for an appeal after maintaining her innocence and eventually won in 2015. Her murder conviction was finally overturned, and she was eventually allowed to return to the United States as a free woman.
Since her wrongful imprisonment, Amanda has spoken about criminal justice reform, and hosted a podcast, “The Truth About True Crime with Amanda Knox.” She began dating author Christopher Robinson shortly after her prison release; they married in 2020.
