Benedict Cumberbatch Jokes About Will Smith Slap
Benedict Cumberbatch is poking some fun at the 2022 Oscars.
On Saturday (May 7), the 45-year-old Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness actor hosted Saturday Night Live for the second time.
In his opening monologue, Benedict cracked a joke about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock across the face at the ceremony back in March.
Benedict set up the joke by talking about his role in the Netflix movie, The Power of the Dog, which earned him his second Oscar nomination.
“I didn’t win the Oscar…I was beaten by Will Smith,” Benedict said as the audience “oohed” and laughed.
He added, “Oh. Not like that.”
