President Joe Biden stated Wednesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin made a “large mistake” by suspending his nation’s participation within the final remaining U.S.-Russia nuclear arms management treaty.
Biden spoke to journalists after arriving on the presidential palace in Warsaw for the Bucharest 9 summit.
“It’s a giant mistake,” Biden stated briefly, commenting on Moscow’s resolution.
It was Biden’s first remark since Vladimir Putin introduced that Russia is “suspending” its participation within the treaty due to US assist for Ukraine and accused america and its NATO allies of overtly working to destroy Russia.
NATO Secretary Normal Jens Stoltenberg referred to as on Russia to reconsider its decision to droop its participation within the SORT treaty.
