PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Riders on an Amtrak prepare that runs from Maine to Boston will quickly have to carry off on shopping for alcoholic drinks through the 35-mile stretch of the journey that goes by New Hampshire.
The Amtrak Downeaster takes passengers 145 miles from Brunswick, Maine, to Boston. The prepare features a cafe automotive that serves alcohol.
Nonetheless, the New Hampshire Liquor Fee has instructed the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority that the prepare cannot serve alcohol through the New Hampshire portion of the journey.
