Chinese language President Xi Jinping spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a telephone name Wednesday, sharing plans to ship a peace envoy to Ukraine amid the nation’s conflict with Russia.
China, which claims to be neutral in the conflict, has not spoken out towards Russia since its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Beijing has stated it desires to be a mediator between the nations. Xi met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow final month.
