Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday that Chinese language President Xi Jinping will go to Moscow, simply days after the U.S. warned that Beijing might enhance assist for Russia’s battle in Ukraine.

“We predict the President of the Folks’s Republic of China in Russia,” Putin said during a visit from China’s high diplomat, Wang Yi, on Wednesday.

“We all know [Xi] has a home political agenda to take care of, however we assume that when the problems on that agenda are handled … we are going to proceed with our plans for private conferences, which can give extra impetus to our relationships,” Putin added.

On Saturday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken accused China of “strongly contemplating” offering Russia with “deadly help” for its battle in Ukraine, which is ready to achieve the one-year mark on Friday. 

Blinken reportedly warned Wang towards such a transfer when the 2 met in Munich over the weekend, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield famous on Sunday that China would face “penalties” for making that “unlucky determination.”

Nonetheless, Chinese language Overseas Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin hit again on the U.S. on Monday, noting the U.S. “has been pouring weapons into the battlefield.”

“The U.S. is in no place to inform China what to do,” Wenbin stated at a press briefing. “We’d by no means stand for finger-pointing, and even coercion and pressurizing from the U.S. on our relationships with Russia.”

Wang on Wednesday stated China’s relationship with Russia would “not topic to stress from third events,” in an obvious retort to the U.S.
