Six folks have died and 15 others are trapped, after a mine shaft collapsed in Zimbabwe, state media report.
The collapse of Bay Horse gold mine in Chegutu, 100km (62 miles) west of the capital Harare on Friday morning left greater than 30 folks trapped.
13 miners are stated to have escaped or been rescued.
Efforts to achieve those that stay underground are ongoing, tv channel ZBC reported. It’s not recognized what brought about the collapse.
The Zimbabwe Miners Federation stated its secretary normal and the Chegutu Miners Affiliation chairman would go to the location to attempt to set up what occurred.
Mining accidents in Zimbabwe – which sits on huge reserves of gold, platinum and diamonds – aren’t unusual. Mining strategies are sometimes rudimentary and security requirements are largely disregarded.
