Warner Bros. has announced "Constantine", a project that fans have been waiting for years. A sequel to 2005's cult classic is in production.
It has everything that fans could want. Keanu Reeves will reprise his title role. Francis Lawrence will once again be the director.
Akiva Goldsman, through his company, Weed Road Pictures, will write and produce this film. JJ Abrams, Hannah Minghella, and Erwin Stoff have been added as executive producers. (via Deadline).
Details about the sequel are still scarce at the time of publication. It is not known if "Constantine" stars Peter Stormare,
Tilda Swinton or Rachel Weisz will be returning, when it will release, and whether it will go directly to streaming or grace cinemas around the world.
In a 2021 interview with Stephen Colbert, he said that he had been pushing for a sequel for some time. Reeves admitted that he had tried when asked about the possibility of "Constantine 2".
