Bradley Cooper has recalled being dissected by the director of the year for having 7 Oscar nominations.

On a recent appearance on The SmartLess Podcast, The Hangover star recalled attending an Oscars celebration.

The event was arranged by the agency CAA in the year 2004, at the time that the Oscar nominations tally went from seven to four due to A Star is Born.

At some point, the actor had a chat with an actress with three nominations as well as a director and he said he was a director.

the director said to his director "What world are we living in where you have seven nominations and she's only got three?"

In a conversation with the hosts Cooper admitted, "I'm like, 'Bro, why are you such an a*shole?' I would never f**k forget that. Go f**k yourself."

Following this incident has occurred, the actor received two more Academy Award nominations as a producer of Best Picture nominees Joker and Nightmare Alley -

He also remembered the incident when an "hero female actress" made remarks of condescending nature on him, when he was given his very first nod in the category of Silver Linings Playbook in 2013.

"She's like, 'I saw your movie. You deserve the nom,'" Cooper remembers. "I was confused, like, 'I'm sorry, but what is the nom?.

It was about an hour or two later, and I'm not lying - I saw her on the way to the bathroom. She says it: 'The name.

"I am able to remember (thinking)"What the hell is this town was? Do you think of saying that to anyone? You've got got to be fired up to say this."
