The three-time Pro-Bowler said that advice from the Lakers legend has him feeling as if the age of 21 again.

As the 2022 NFL season gets underway, Derek Carr finds himself refreshed to face the next chapter of his Raider's time with the team.

Derek Carr, the veteran quarterback, reported to the training camp on Wednesday equipped with a brand 

a new routine of training advice that came from one of the NBA famous figures: Lakers Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant

Bryant was a mentor whom I admired," Carr said, according to the athletic Vic Tafur. "So whatever he said, I was like,

'I may like to start with this stretching routine. It's made me feel like an amateur. ... My age is 31 but I feel as if I'm 21. It's my belief that it's the recovery aspect it has helped me the most.

Following Bryant's suggestions for stretching Carr uses a myofascial stretching routine, which he performs once per week to ease

the pain that is associated to stiffness or muscle dysfunction. This routine helps ease the discomfort that is caused by muscle

dysfunction or tightness, which is something Carr devotes much focus on when he is an NFL quarterback.
