The Boston Celtics officially announced their trade agreement with the Indiana Pacers.

Boston Celtic Mega Deal

The trade that brought Malcolm Brogdon, Indiana Pacers point guard, to Boston Celtics was officially announced Saturday by the team.

The former Virginia star was named 2016 NBA Rookie Of The Year by the Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 19.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per match last season.

He will be an important addition to the Celtics team, which reached the NBA Finals last month but lost in six to the Golden State Warriors.

The fact that the Celtics did not have a true guard was a major concern going into the offseason.

Brogdon could play this role and assist Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart in the offense.

Adrian Wojnarowski, ESPN's reporter on trades, first reported the details about the trade over a week prior.
