After 73 games played over two seasons in the Sacramento Kings, Damian Jones is leaving for the Los Angeles Lakers in NBA free agency According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Jones has made a strong argument to stay in the Kings throughout the course of the 2021-22 campaign, averaging 8.1 scores and 4.4

rebounding over 56 games and shooting his signature 65.8 percent on the court. It's not the ideal situation, however, the Kings might have realized that

they have better centers that they can offer the new team's head coach Mike Brown as they look to end their postseason drought.

Although he was by no means the best team athlete, Jones held down an important position in Sacramento.

Jones was the "next man up". Through a season rife with injuries and seemingly never-ending absences due to COVID-19

Players, coaches as well as fans were all admirers of his dedication and determination. It was unfortunate that things did not work out for him to make it to Sacramento all the time.
