Emma Hemming Willis has spoken out about her grief in the wake of the death of her spouse Bruce Willis being diagnosed with aphasia in the spring of this year.

The model, who is 44 has posted the video montage on Instagram in celebration of National Grief Awareness Day on August 30. She shared how she's been spending the summer dealing with grief.

"This was the summer of self-discovery -- finding new hobbies, going out of my comfort zone, and staying active," she said in the caption of her video. 

It included footage of her in the outdoors, working out painting, gardening tennis, and working on various projects at home. The video was with Aretha Franklin's track "I Say a Little Prayer."

"My grief can be paralyzing but I'm learning how to live alongside it," she said in her caption, before giving a shout-out to her step-daughter,

Scout Willis. "As my step-daughter @scoutlaruewillis told me, grief is the deepest and purest form of love."

Emma's post was met with a flood of support from fans friends, family as well as family including Scout who is 31-year-old Bruce's daughter with his ex-wife Demi Moore.

"This is so beautiful!" Scout's post read. "I'm very proud of you. I am so happy for you." so much." !!!" Moore was also one of those that "liked" the post on Instagram.
