A source in The Dune Part Two production informs PEOPLE they know that Pugh will be flying to Venice from the set but won't arrive until the conference.

Another source says that this was always the plan, even though it was only revealed through an article in Variety report.

Pugh's absence from the festival is amidst the speculation Pugh is in a bad relationship with her Don't Be Worried Darling co-star Director Olivia Wilde,

who has since denied any negative relations between the two she told Variety "tabloid media is a tool to pit women against one another and to shame them."

"I'm a woman who has been in this business for over 20 years, and it's something that I have fought for myself and others,

especially being a director. There is absolutely no validity to those claims," Wilde said.
