According to Shams Charania, the Utah Jazz has hired Jason Terry, a former NBA Sixth Man-of-the Year.

Terry is currently the G League Grand Rapids Gold's head coach, which is a development team for the Denver Nuggets.

Terry was interviewed by the Jazz for their head coaching position before Will Hardy, a former assistant to the Boston Celtics, was hired.

Terry led the Gold to a record of 17-15 in his first season as head coach. Terry was also an assistant coach at the college level for Sean Miller's Arizona Wildcats.

Terry stated that he is confident in his ability to coach a Division I college basketball team, an NBA franchise.
