As per McCurdy, Grande was absent "to go sing at award shows, record new songs, and do press for her upcoming album," and was then left to "angrily keep the fort.
Sam & Cat" was only on air for one season in 2013-2014. following the show's cancellation, Nickelodeon offered the actor $300,000.
I had two feature requests during "iCarly" that I had to decline because the 'iCarly' crew would not let me write out episodes to shoot them," she explained.
The absences of Grande were infrequent, but then she and her singer reported missing a whole week on the set.
McCurdy wrote. "So I'm supposed to turn down the movies while Ariana is playing the whistle during the Billboard Music Awards? F**k. This.
The circumstances led McCurdy to "resent being a good sport," which she was frequently praised for during the time.
I would not be on this show, muttering these ridiculous lines on this s**ty set sporting this sh**ty haircut," she wrote.
