Keanu Reeves is set to play his first television show role on television.

Reeves, who is 57, will be the main character as a Hulu star in the series "Devil in the White City" that is directed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese

The show, which was written by "Castle Rock" producer Sam Shaw, has been developing for more than

a decade since DiCaprio began working on the project in the year 2010. This streaming company just confirmed on Wednesday that the project will be moving ahead.

The film is based on Erik Larson's best-selling novel "Devil in the White City," Reeves will play the character

of Dr. H Burnham, a young architect who assisted in the development of the first skyscrapers.

Keanu Reeves to star in Hulu

Deadline announced that the series' limited edition will start production in 2023, and will be released in the year following.

A spokesperson for Hulu has not yet responded to Fox News' request for information.

The new show will be an opportunity to reunite DiCaprio and Scorsese. They collaborated for "Gangs of New York" in 2002,

"Shutter Island" in 2010 and "The Wolf of Wall Street,"" each that Scorsese produced and DiCaprio was a part of.
