Lindsay Shookus has left her job as a producer for a long time on the NBC show "Saturday Night Live.

This past Friday, Six-time Emmy Award award winner posted on Instagram in order to reveal her departure from the show.

After 20 seasons of Saturday Night Live I've decided to give up the late night life and step away from the show." the actress wrote in a long caption for a photo of herself at work.

Shookus said, "When I started in 2002, I was just a youngster born in Buffalo, NY who didn't know anything

about the industry other than that I eagerly wanted to be an integral part of it. Then I identified my niche in SNL and

have spent the last two decades building unforgettable relationships and memories with extraordinary and talented individuals.

She New York native added that she'd had a meeting with her former husband and "SNL" producer Kevin Miller and 

What's a better reward from my experience on stage than my adorable, fun girl who makes my day more enjoyable," Shookus wrote.
