Throughout its entire time during its time, the USSR was home to a variety of leaders, including some that were more influential than others.

Mikhail Gorbachev was both an influential and different kind of Soviet leader. Gorbachev passed away on the 20th of August 2022.

He was also the last leader to live in the ex-Soviet Union. According to Reuters says that Gorbachev's political career was rife with controversy and a few niggles. 

Gorbachev was the one who supervised the demise of the Soviet Union, which was already weakened by his domestic policies.

Gorbachev was the one who ended the Cold War, made numerous agreements with the USSR's Western enemies,

including President Ronald Reagan, and also helped in the process of bringing Germany back together.

Much to the delight of many Gorbachev participated in ads for different brands. One of the most famous of the latter is a Pizza Hut ad from 1998 in which he was featured in.

Also, he had a model collaboration in the form of Louis Vuitton, as Newsweek explained. In addition to his marketing ploys as well, 

he didn't avoid a rant when he was criticized by other politicians, especially Donald Trump. CNBC reports that according to CNBC the year of 2018, 

Gorbachev actually gave negative remarks about Trump's intelligence regarding his decision to remove his United States from an international agreement that demanded nukes to be disarmed.
