The 35th anniversary of the famous movie "Dirty Dancing" approaches this weekend, and the widow of Patrick Swayze made a tribute to the late actor.

"When Patrick was still alive, he would always say, 'I'm on my second generation of fans' ... He'd get approached

by young ladies who weren't even born when the movie came out," Niemi said on "Entertainment Tonight."

Niemi married Swayze in 1975, and he passed away in 2009 at 57, following a fight against pancreatic cancer.

The widow of Swayze's spouse in a way that he was "one of a kind" and added that she feels his presence, even 13 years after his death.

It's very odd to be able to live so far away, yet have them so close to you," Niemi told the media outlet.

I feel as if he's with me each day and naturally, it would be great to have him there," she added. "But I'll say to you, we've had a wonderful ride and I have so much to be thankful for.
