Shawn Mendes is postponing his "Wonder" world tour for three weeks in order to take care of his mental well-being, the singer announced on Friday.

This is a heartbreaking thing for me to write this However, it's a fact that I'll need to delay the three weeks of concerts that are coming up until Uncasville,

CT until further notice," Mendes wrote in an Instagram post. "I've been on the road since I was a teenager and honestly, it's been a struggle to travel without family and friends.

After a few years of being off touring, I was feeling like that I had the time to get into the water again but my decision was a bit premature.

Unfortunately, the strain on the roads and stress have caught up with me and I've reached the breaking point.

Mendes continued, that after speaking with my team members and health professionals, I'm now required to

set aside some time to heal and to take care of my mental health prior to all else. If there are updates, I'll notify you.

Mendes' "Wonder" world tour started on June 27 , in Portland, Ore. and will run until Oct. in U.S. before picking up in May 2023 in Europe, the U.K. and Europe.
