Von Miller signed a six-year, $120 million contract with Buffalo Bills in the offseason. He was keen to join the Dallas Cowboys, however.

The Athletic's Dan Pompei reported that Miller was offered a $70 million contract by the Cowboys for a five-year deal. This was the exact same contract Randy Gregory rejected.

Because of his connection with the Lone Star State, Miller was willing to accept a lower salary to join the Cowboys. He was not willing to pay $50 million more to play for the Cowboys.

I told them that I was willing to go to the Cowboys," Miller stated. I would have paid less to travel to Dallas, it's Dallas. But that's not what I would do.

Cowboys fans are more upset that neither side could reach a deal after hearing these comments from Miller.

Miller's playoff performance was remarkable. He recorded four sacks on his way to his second Super Bowl.
