"I am amazed," Twain told ET's Cassie DiLaura of seeing Ballerini in her gown. "... She's amazing. She appears to be an absolute beauty.

It's amazing to see her wearing the gown, and that she was tempted to put it on. I said, 'I'm hoping the dress isn't too dusty from being in the [GRAMMY] Museum ].'

Twain, wore a long-sleeved white dress the year she was awarded the award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song for her track, "You're Still the One."

"It was an amazing evening for me when I attended the Grammys. This dress was the symbol of that experience and I'm so happy to see it come back," Twain said.

"Now it's got a new lease on life and is filled with new memories, and it's wonderful to share those memories with others and with other women.

It's obviously a great honor to be loved enough for someone to be tempted to put on the dress I wear."

It was clear that Ballerini wanted to wear the gown. The 28-year-old singer viewed the dress as a chance to pay homage to Mark

Twain who is being honored in the form of the ACM Poet's Award at Wednesday's ceremony.

It's Shania's night! As I received the invitation to become part of it in honor of Shania, the team was considering every possible way we could celebrate every phase of her career" Ballerini .

One one of things I feel she's a hero because of her style and the way she's constantly challenging boundaries. I wanted to pay tribute to the part of her that is a bit of her.
