With the August. 2 deadline for trades almost here the New York Yankees are working against time to create another trade.
Since Castillo has been ruled out Now that Castillo is gone, the Yankees are apparently turning their
attention towards Frankie Montas of the Oakland Athletics and Jose Quintana of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Montas is a 3.18 ERA with a 4-9 record in the current season. Quintana however, has an ERA of 3.5, with a 3.50 ERA and 89 strikeouts.
As you can see from the responses on Twitter, there are some who aren't convinced Montas or Quintana can help elevate the Yankees.
The Yankees have already made a deal this month, buying the outfielder Andrew Benintendi from the Kansas City Royals.
Because the Yankees are definitely in the race to make an impressive postseason run this year, it is logical for them to look at a new pitcher.
Montas is under the control of the team until 2023 and Quintana has an expiring contract.
