Serena and Drake’s relationship fizzled out by 2015, according to multiple outlets. That year, a source told News47.us that the “Hotline Bling” artist and the retired tennis pro had “been on a slow burn for a few months now.”
“They have known each other for years, and there has always been a spark, but the timing was off,” the insider added. “Drake was always saying to her, ‘When are we going out?’ Serena never seriously thought Drake was interested in her like that though.”
Though neither of them confirmed this, Drake released his song “Too Good” in 2016, which he claimed was inspired by his relationship with Serena, according to an X video from a past studio session.
