Sanchez is a former NFL quarterback who played ten seasons in the league after a standout career at USC. He was drafted fifth overall by the New York Jets in 2009, where he led the team to consecutive AFC Championship games early in his career. After retiring in 2019, he transitioned into sports broadcasting and in 2021 joined FOX Sports as a game analyst.
In the early hours of October 4, 2025, Sanchez was involved in a late-night altercation in downtown Indianapolis and was stabbed. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was treated and remained in stable condition.
