The 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on November 8, and several of music’s most respected names were inducted, including Cyndi Lauper.
Chappell Roan honored Cyndi with a speech, crediting the “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” hitmaker with redefining “what a pop star could look like, sound like, and be.”
“It’s that courage that not only creates incredible art that gives everyone who experiences it the permission to be themselves — it opens their hearts, it changes their mind, and that is its power,” the “Pink Pony Club” artist said, while wearing a dress that paid tribute to Cyndi’s “True Colors” music video.
