Willie Junior Maxwell II, more popularly known as Fetty Wap, is an American rapper, singer, and composer. In case you didn’t already know, “Fetty” is slang for money and “Wap” is inspired by Gucci Mane’s alias, “Guwop.”
He is best known for his smash party hits “Trap Queen,” “679,” and “My Way.” “Trap Queen” was his debut single and turned out to be rather successful. It reached number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 2015.The latter two singles also remarkably became Top 10 singles in the U.S.
Fetty Wap went on to make even more bangers when he signed a record deal with 300 Entertainment.
He has certainly not gone unrecognized or awarded for his music-making either. Some awards he has won include MC100 Award, MTV Video Music Awards, and iHeart Radio Music Awards.
