Oh, what a glorious morning — yes, Hocus Pocus 3 is in development. In June 2023, Walt Disney Pictures president Sean Bailey confirmed that a third Hocus Pocus movie was going to happen in his New York Times profile.
However, the ball didn’t start rolling with the production until May 2026, when Deadline reported that the movie was in development and eyeing a possible theatrical release.
Hocus Pocus 3 screenwriter Jen D’Angelo is currently working on the story for the next Hocus Pocus sequel. However, she teased that the Mother Witch will likely be a major focus point of Hocus Pocus 3.
