Dustin Hoffman, born August 8, 1937, is a revered actor known for both his complex roles and comedy panache. The Southern California native began his career studying at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music before heading to Broadway. His breakout role came in 1967’s The Graduate. From there, he took on leading roles in Midnight Cowboy, Marathon Man, the Lenny Bruce biopic Lenny, All the President’s Men, Kramer vs. Kramer, Tootsie, Rain Man, Hook, I Heart Huckabees and Meet the Fockers.
For his work, he has earned two Academy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, four British Academy Film Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. More recently, he voiced Master Shifu in Kung Fu Panda 4 (2024), joined Francis Ford Coppola‘s Megalopolis (2024) and starred in the 2025 drama Tuner.
