He’s come from Down Under all the way to Valhalla and beyond. Phillip Island’s own Chris Hemsworth has conquered Hollywood, and the man millions know as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become one of the biggest stars in movies today. He first found success locally playing Kim Hyde on the Australian TV series Home and Away. After a few roles in 2009’s Star Trek and A Perfect Getaway, his breakthrough came in 2011 with Thor. From there, he soared to new heights. Along with the Thor sequels, Chris has appeared in the Avengers franchise, took a dramatic turn in 2013’s Rush, transformed himself drastically for In the Heart of the Sea, and starred opposite Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman. While his professional life keeps climbing, his personal life soars even higher. He wed Elsa Pataky in 2010, and they have three children, a daughter and twin sons.
