David Harbour and Kristen Bell are teaming up to bring back the naughty list this upcoming holiday season. Four years after the first Violent Night premiered, the sequel will be released during the 2026 holly and jolly festivities, but New York Comic-Con attendees could get a whiff of the bloody peppermint sweetness first.
News47.us has rounded up all the details we know so far about Violent Night 2.
Violent Night 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 4, 2026.
As previously noted, Harbour and Bell are leading the flick, with the Stranger Things alum donning his Santa Claus suit once again. As for Bell, the Nobody Wants This actress is playing Mrs. Claus.
According to producer Kelly McCormick, Mrs. Claus was almost unveiled in the original 2022 movie.
“We almost put a button in the back of Violent Night with Mrs. Claus,” McCormick told SlashFilm earlier this year. “If we would’ve done that, she would’ve been somebody totally different in this one, and it would’ve been a different movie, if she was already introduced. So it was really hard. To be honest, we overthought it to the point where we never made an offer for the role of Mrs. Claus.”
The producer added, “Just kind of through divine intervention, Kristen just sort of appeared. A lot of it was because David Harbour and she have a long friendship, and I am obsessed with her. I was like, ‘Oh my God, we’ll never get her. Are you kidding? She’s busy and she’s amazing.’ And I don’t even know. That’s like Christmas happening for the movie if we get Kristen.”
