Artem Chigvintsev‘s recent arrest has sparked speculation regarding his Dancing With the Stars return. After news broke of his domestic battery arrest, fans wondered whether or not the pro dancer would come back to the show for its upcoming season.
According to TMZ, paramedics were called to Chigvintsev and wife Nikki Garcia‘s home on August 29, 2024, for an unspecified “medical emergency.” However, the unidentified person called emergency responders back to cancel the request.
According to online jail records viewed by News47.us, Chigvintsev was arrested at 9:59 a.m. in Napa County, California, and booked at 10:40 a.m. that day. His bail was set to $25,000, and he was released at 2:18 p.m.

Chigvintsev has not publicly spoken out about the arrest.
Per TMZ, Chigvintsev was arrested for felony corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant. It’s still unclear who the victim was in the situation. However, the outlet reported that the victim asked for “total confidentiality.”
One day after Chigvintsev was arrested, Page Six reported that he would not be returning to Dancing With the Stars for season 33.
