Kevin Costner, starting from his humble beginnings in 1981’s Sizzle Beach, U.S.A., quickly rose to fame after his breakout role in 1987’s The Untouchables. This marked the beginning of an impressive era of big-screen success, with notable performances in Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Dances With Wolves, JFK, and The Bodyguard. These films helped establish him as one of Hollywood’s leading stars .
Kevin won two Academy Awards for his role in ‘Dances With Wolves,’ and while it seemed like he could do no wrong, he followed this success by starring and co-producing ‘Waterworld’. The film – which was the most expensive to make at the time – threatened to sink Kevin’s career after it went under at the box office, but Kevin’s star has continued to shine.
