She then transitioned to film, making her big-screen debut in 2004 as Laura Newton in the thriller Spartan. Her husband, Dax Shepard, shares her passion for acting. An award-winning actor, he has appeared in films such as Without a Paddle (2004), Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005), Employee of the Month (2006), and Idiocracy (2006).
