He’s come a long way since Freaks and Geeks. Seth Rogen, one of Canada’s funniest exports, has built an impressive career across comedy, film, and television. After his breakout on Judd Apatow’s cult series in 1999, Seth went on to headline a string of box-office hits, including The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, This Is The End, and the Neighbors films. While his 2011 superhero experiment The Green Hornet didn’t soar as planned, he drew critical praise for his dramatic work in Steve Jobs, showing he could hold his own outside comedy.
Seth has also become a prolific voice actor, lending his unmistakable voice to animated favorites like Horton Hears a Who!, the Kung Fu Panda franchise, and Disney’s 2019 live-action remake of The Lion King. On top of that, he co-wrote and voiced the raunchy animated hit Sausage Party and appeared in The Disaster Artist, the biographical comedy about cult film The Room.
Most recently, Seth cemented his place in television history with The Studio, the workplace comedy he co-created, starred in, and helped write and direct alongside longtime collaborator Evan Goldberg. At the 2025 Primetime Emmys, Seth earned four awards for his work on the series, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Writing, Directing, and Comedy Series — marking a career-defining moment that proved his comedy roots continue to thrive while reaching new heights.
