Immediately after watching the finale, fans scrambled to find out when — and if — season 4 was coming out. But since Netflix has yet to announce an official series renewal, viewers are dying to know if Kitty and Min Ho’s relationship will go on as well as what will happen with the rest of the group.

The season 3 finale episode concluded with Min Ho realizing he doesn’t want a future without Kitty. So, he rushes to the airport for a sweet reunion before they board a flight to Portland, Oregon. Min Ho then affectionately tells her he “can’t wait to see the city that made Kitty Song Covey.”

At the time of publication, Netflix has not confirmed whether XO, Kitty has been renewed for season 4. If greenlit, the next season would likely follow the group’s journey to graduation and Kitty and Min Ho’s relationship.

It’s likely, however, that Netflix will renew the show for a fourth season, considering the show’s success. Season 3 ended with Kitty saying, “there may be even more to come,” referring to all the surprises she had when entering her senior year.

“I had so many expectations coming into my senior year. I even wrote them all down in a list,” Kitty says in the last episode of season 3. “I wanted it to be perfect. It wasn’t. It was. messy. Sometimes it hurts. But it was beautiful, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Even the surprises. … There may be even more to come, and I’m okay with that.”

Since season 4 has not been confirmed, a release date is unclear. If the series is greenlit for another round, and if production begins later this year, fans could see the show return by mid to late 2027 at the earliest.
