Alec Baldwin, born April 3, 1958, is an actor, whose work spans from dark dramas to absurd comedy. He first made his mark on the soap ‘Knots Landing’, and later rose to greater fame for playing Jack Ryan in ‘The Hunt for Red October’ (1990) and in ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ (1992). He was nominated for an Oscar for 2003’s ‘The Cooler’.
Baldwin later became widely known for his comedic work, especially on 30 Rock (2006–2013), where he starred opposite Tina Fey and won two Emmy Awards. His film credits also include Beetlejuice (1988), Working Girl (1988), Talk Radio(1988), The Aviator (2004), and The Departed (2006), as well as voicing the title character in The Boss Baby franchise.
In 2021, Baldwin was involved in a tragic on-set incident during the filming of Rust, in which cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot. The case has remained a major focus of public and legal attention in the years since.
