Chris Pratt, born June 21, 1979, is an American actor best known for his work in both blockbuster franchises and television comedies. After early roles in series like Everwood and The O.C., Pratt found his breakout role as Andy Dwyer on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Originally intended to be a short-term character, Andy became a fan favorite, and Pratt remained a series regular throughout the show’s seven-season run.
While starring on Parks and Recreation, Pratt began building a successful film career with roles in Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, Her and The Lego Movie. His star power soared in 2014 when he was cast as Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, a role he reprised in multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Pratt also became the face of the modern Jurassic World franchise, starring as Owen Grady in the trilogy’s three films. In recent years, he has continued to balance live-action and voice-acting roles, including voicing Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Garfield in The Garfield Movie.
