Hannah Montana fans will never forget seeing Aunt Dolly grace their TV screens. The late Dolly Parton played Miley Cyrus‘ iconic “Aunt Dolly” in several episodes of the Disney Channel series — and in case you weren’t aware, the fellow singer-songwriters are actually family in real life. Dolly was Miley’s godmother.
Viewers can still hear Aunt Dolly say one of her most famous lines from the show: “Honey, when your pants are as tight as mine, you gotta have somewhere to put your phone!”
Unfortunately, the real-life Dolly died in August 2026 following a “brief battle with cancer” her team said.
