That hair! That character development! That ’80s charm! Joe Keery is most known for previously playing Steve Harrington, the beloved jock in one of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Joe starred in the science fiction horror from 2016 to 2025, alongside co-stars who have also experienced meteoric rises to stardom thanks to the show: Natalia Dryer, Charlie Heaton, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Scnapp and Caleb McLaughlin.
Prior to his breakthrough role, Joe studied theater at DePaul University and graduated in 2014. He had guest roles in shows like Chicago and Empire afterwards, and starred in the movie Henry Gamble’s Birthday Party. He appeared in more projects while Stranger Things streamed on Netflix, including How to Be Alone. Joe is also a talented musician, and performed with the rock band Post Animals until 2018.
