Liam Payne and Maya Henry’s relationship was anything but uneventful. The One Direction-er made his relationship with the model official with an Instagram post in Sept. 2019, although they sparked speculation of a possible romance in 2018. Liam had just announced his split from the mother of his child, ‘The X Factor’ judge Cheryl Ann Tweedy, in July of 2018.
By the end of Aug. 2020, a report emerged claiming that Liam had proposed to Maya with a $3.5 million ring. The rocky relationship would take a pause less than a year later, and by June 2021, Liam confirmed that the two had split. They rekindled their romance once more, but in May 2022 photos of Liam intimately cuddling another woman appeared on the internet, leading to a dramatic public split.
In October 2024, Maya opened up about her past relationship with Liam. In a TikTok video, she claimed that Liam would “blow up” her phone after they broke up. She then added, “He’s the one that is constantly doing weird sh*t, and also might I add, he literally said the reason he has all these people on his damn Snapchat, which he has had for years apparently, and messages, is he preys on One Direction fans because they’re loyal to him.”
