All hail the Prince of Darkness—and his queen! Ozzy Osbourne remains one of the most iconic figures in heavy metal history. From his groundbreaking work as the frontman of Black Sabbath to his massively successful solo career, the man born John Michael Osbourne will forever be synonymous with the genre he helped define. By his side through decades of highs and lows has been Sharon Osbourne, the woman many credit with saving both his career and his life.

Born Sharon Levy, the daughter of legendary music promoter Don Arden, Sharon first met Ozzy at 18 while working for her father, who was managing Black Sabbath at the time. When Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979, the two began dating, and Sharon took over management of his solo career. They married on July 4, 1982, and went on to welcome three children together: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.

Under Sharon’s management, Ozzy reached new heights of fame, releasing multi-platinum albums and cementing his place as the Prince of Darkness—even as he battled well-publicized struggles with addiction. In the early 2000s, their family skyrocketed to mainstream fame with The Osbournes, the hit MTV reality show that premiered in March 2002. The show offered an unprecedented look inside the Osbourne household, captivating audiences and pioneering a new era of celebrity reality TV.

Their relationship endured decades of turbulence, including arrests, rehab stints, and numerous controversies. In 2016, they nearly divorced after Ozzy’s extramarital affair came to light, but they reconciled later that year after counseling and recommitment. In January 2020, Ozzy revealed he had been diagnosed with a mild form of Parkinson’s disease, which Sharon has publicly supported him through. She stood by his side through multiple surgeries, hospitalizations, and his announcement in February 2023 that he was retiring from touring after a series of back and neck operations left him too physically weak to perform. Ozzy played his final concert on July 5, 2025, reuniting with Black Sabbath in Birmingham for a historic farewell show.

Today, Ozzy and Sharon remain together, celebrating over 40 years of marriage. Scroll through the gallery to see photos of this rock ’n’ roll power couple!
