Singer Teyana Taylor and former NBA star Iman Shumpert began dating in 2014 after first forming a close friendship. Their relationship deepened as Teyana supported Iman through surgery that year, and the two soon became inseparable.
In 2015, the couple revealed they were expecting their first child together. That November, Iman proposed to Teyana at her baby shower, and they welcomed their daughter, Iman “Junie” Shumpert Jr., in December 2015. Teyana and Iman tied the knot on Oct. 1, 2016, and later expanded their family with the birth of their second daughter, Rue Rose, in September 2020 — news they famously shared in Teyana’s music video.
The couple also brought fans into their lives with their VH1 reality series Teyana & Iman, followed by We Got Love Teyana & Iman on E! in 2021. However, after years together, Teyana confirmed in 2023 that she and Iman had separated. Their divorce was finalized in 2024, with both remaining focused on co-parenting their daughters.
