Bono, born May 10, 1960 as Paul David Hewson, is an Irish singer and activist, known as the frontman of the band U2. He has been the lead singer of U2 since the band’s founding in 1976. As a member of U2, Bono has received 22 Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their hits include “With Or Without You,” “Where The Streets Have No Name” and “Beautiful Day,” among others.
He has been married to wife Allison Hewson (nee Stewart) since 1982, and many of his love songs are inspired by their romance. They have four children.
