Amber Heard is an American actress who was born on April 22, 1986, in Austin, Texas. She began her acting career in the mid-2000s with roles in films including All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, Never Back Down (2008), Pineapple Express (2008) and The Rum Diary (2011), where she met future husband Johnny Depp. Heard later rose to global fame after joining the DC Extended Universe as Mera, appearing in Justice League (2017), Aquaman (2018), Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023).
Heard’s personal life has also remained heavily discussed in the public eye. She married Depp in 2015, but the pair divorced in 2017 following allegations of domestic abuse. Their years-long legal battle culminated in the widely publicized 2022 defamation trial, which sparked major media attention and online debate.
In recent years, Heard has largely stepped away from Hollywood and relocated to Spain, where she has focused more on her private life and raising her children. In May 2025, she announced the birth of twins, a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean.
