Prepare to be reintroduced to Carry White. As horror fans already know, the telekinetic teenager was created by Stephen King and adapted for the screen multiple times, including the 1976 Sissy Spacek film. This time, Mike Flanagan is bringing her back in a different way for his new miniseries, Carrie, on Prime Video.
Below, News47.us has gathered all the info on the Carrie series you need to know.
Prime’s Carrie is a reimagining of the teenage pariah Carrie White, whose childhood has been influenced by her domineering mother. When her father suddenly dies, Carrie struggles with bullying and relationships with her classmates, all the while juggling her newly discovered telekinetic powers.
Carrie is a miniseries, so its debut season is expected to be its only one. However, fans have called for a second season.
Carrie premiered on Prime on October 7, 2026, just in time for spooky season. All eight episodes of the miniseries are available to stream that day for the ultimate binge-watch!
Carrie features a few new faces and some of Hollywood’s most respected names, not to mention that the ensemble includes several Canadian actors. The titular character is played by Manitoba native Summer H. Howell, best known for her roles in Hunter Hunter and Night of the Reaper.
Samantha Sloyan plays Margaret White, Carrie’s abusive mother. The actress is recognized for her collaborations with Flanagan in Hush, The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher.
