The singer/actress got her start in show business as a young child, scoring a role on Barney and Friends when she was only seven-years-old. She transitioned into a teen star via The Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place.
Selena then became known for her love life just as much as her acting career when she began dating teen pop superstar Justin Bieber in 2011. They were the young ‘It’ couple before breaking up and getting back together several times before calling it quits in 2014. They were each others’ first loves!
Selena has been an open book when it comes to her health battles, both physical and mental. In 2017 she underwent a life-saving kidney transplant due to complications from her autoimmune disease Lupus. She’s also been open about her struggles with anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder.
Through it all, she has remained committed to her fans though her incredible music and general passion for doing the right thing. Be it getting folks to take part in the 2020 Census or offering up DM’s to fans who can prove they’ve registered to vote in 2020, Selena truly wants to make the world a better place.
