Teoscar Hernández became the first player from the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the Home Run Derby. After hitting 14 home runs in the final round during the July 2024 event at Globe Life Field in Texas, the athlete celebrated becoming the champ during an interview.
“This is amazing, man, everything that I’m feeling right now,” he said, per ESPN. “There’s no word I can describe what I’m feeling, in front of family, in front of everybody that is here.”

Teoscar made his professional baseball debut in 2011 after signing with the Houston Astros as a free agent. After playing in the minor leagues for several years, the Astros promoted him to the MLB in 2016. The following year, he was traded by the Astros to the Toronto Blue Jays.
In 2022, Teoscar was traded to the Seattle Mariners before signing a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers in early 2024.
The outfielder is originally from Cotuí, Sánchez Ramírez, Dominican Republic.
